Knowledge Management @ GIZ Print Email

Supported by eLearning, more than 17,000 staff members of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH can explore relevant GIZ Knowledge Management processes and tools. For this purpose, the team from common sense has developed and produced six eLearning modules, based on the ideas and materials delivered by GIZ’s intern knowledge management team. The eLearning course is now ready and accessible for all GIZ staff members worldwide: Knowledge Management @ GIZ.

Mit Hilfe von eLearning sollen die mehr als 17.000 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter der Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH die für ihre tägliche Arbeit wesentlichen Wissensmanagement-Prozesse und -Werkzeuge besser kennen lernen. common sense hat aus den Materialien und Ideen des organisationsinternen Wissensmanagement-Teams sechs abwechslungsreiche eLearning-Module erstellt und produziert, die nun in der GIZ weltweit zur Verfügung stehen: Knowledge Management @ GIZ.

eLearning in the Training of Nurses in Tanzania Print Email

The training of nurses in Tanzania suffers from a severe lack of resources (e.g. training material, etc). In a workshop of the “Eastern Zonal Health Recource Centers” in Morogoro, implemented on behalf of GIZ – German International Cooperation, local trainers and facilitators developed eLearning modules for use as training and distance training resource. 13 participants were introduced to the instructional planning and production of eLearning modules by Arndt Bubenzer of common sense, and Mr. Aston Ndosi of TATCOT.

Moshi, Tanzania/Vienna - January 2010

The limited available resources for orthopedic technologist training in Africa make the creation of media based training modules a vital task for regional experts. A team of trainers and facilitators from TATCOT, the Tanzania Training Center for Orthopedic Technologists, have taken on this task, supported by consultants from common sense. A workshop in January was the kick-off for the development of additional course programmes. The project is funded by InWEnt, Capacity Building International.

eLearning quality assurance and evaluation Print Email

Nairobi/Vienna - October 2009

Arndt Bubenzer of common sense conducted a workshop for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Nairobi on eLearning quality assurance measures and survey/evaluation tools. The workshop was part of the ongoing eLearning / MENTOR implementation process at UNEP. The training resource platform MENTOR will serve as a tool for the mainstreaming of environmental education.

eLDI, IDeL 2008 It is done Print Email

Bonn/Vienna/Manila/Nairobi/Loja - May 2008 - January 2009

It is done! The fourth eLDI (eLearning Develoment and Implementation) and IDeL (Implementación y Desarrollo del eLearning) course program of InWEnt is now successfully closed.

Three final workshops were held in Los Banos, Philippines, Nyeri, Kenya and Loja, Ecuador to finalise the projects, participants developed through out the 7 months online phase of this course. Participants, regional managers for eLearning, have now completed pilot eLearning courses for their institutions.

common sense is happy to have trained around 100 eLearning experts after four years and that now Alumnis take over the course concept and deliver the eLDI/IDeL themselves in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
