Mobile Executive Summaries for World Bank Institute Print Email

On behalf of the World Bank Institute, common sense developed two mobile learning pilots for a global decision maker audience using highly heterogeneous devices and various connection types. The implementation was carried out via a moodle mobile add-on and  with device specific style sheets. The Mobile Executive Summaries are small units  in a micro learning format, allowing decision makers to access vital facts “on the go”.

UNITAR – Content Development with Open Source Tools Print Email

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) invited Arndt Bubenzer and Andreas Hörfurter to conduct a workshop introducing trainers and facilitators to open source tools and sustainable processes  for eLearning content development. The Geneva-based UN affiliate organization is responsible for the training of trainers and staff worldwide, with eLearning becoming an important part of this process.

The Hague 2010

IICD is a Dutch non-profit foundation that specialises in information and communication technologies (ICT) as a tool for development. The projects of IICD are in diverse countries of Africa and Latin America. In August 2010 common sense conducted a workshop for IICCD in Den Hague about eLearning strategies and implementation scenarios in development cooperation projects. Various approaches and technologies were discussed elaborating their
advantages and limits in development contexts.

eLearning for tourism development at UNWTO Themis Foundation Print Email

Andorra/Vienna 2010

In the year 2010 common sense supported Themis Foundation, the educational
body of the World-Tourism-Organization UNWTO, in the implementation of eLearning. A strategy for eLearning at Themis Foundation was developed in a joint workshop. Following the team of Themis Foundation in Andorra was trained to develop and implement eLearning according to this strategy. During the training the team developed eLearning content and a Learning Management System at Themis Foundation. Among these eLearning projects were courses in the field of tourism development and networks for tourism experts and for volunteers in tourism projects. During implementation the team was supported by the eLearning experts of common sense by online coaching.

MERCOSUR - Regional integration training Print Email

The Latin American organisation "Centro de Formación para la Integration Regional (CEFIR)" is the training institute of the customs union MERCOSUR.  common sense cooperates with CEFIR and Sven Aden in training the local team for eLearning, providing instructional design and media development of content and the structure of the learning management system (moodle). The project is implemented on behalf of InWEnt.
